School Year Celebrated at Farm of Hope, July 2009
The 2008-2009 school year at the Farm of Hope school in Uvira, DRC, ended with a celebration on 2 July 2009. The school plans to reopen for the next academic year in September 2009.

Two Secondary Girls with Certificates

On the closing day, certificates were handed over to students by the headmaster in presence of parents, teachers, and the coordinator. Presents were also given to the 10 children with the best grades for the year. The school thanks Dr. Harry, who donated the presents for the children.

What a Joy When Foster Parents Come to Encourage the Winner

According to the director, 70% of this year's students in the elementary school are qualified to move on to the next grade, and 60% at the secondary school. The best student this year at the Farm of Hope, named Justine, attained an 88% average.

At the end of the year-end ceremony, speeches were given by a number of dignitaries to congratulate the teachers and staff for their hard work and patience, especially since salaries were not always available on time. After a reception with refreshments, the coordinator held a meeting with the teaching staff, giving them a send-off and looking forward to the beginning of the next school year in September.
