A discipled nation must be one in which the church plays the leading role in the continuing transformation of that entire nation back into the pre-fall, God-like people we were originally destined to be. The Son of Man came to seek and to save all that which was lost in the fall, including cities, towns and villages. We, the Church, are mandated to continue the systematic, intentional reconciling work of Christ.
Hundreds of thousands of African villages are presently without churches and trained pastors, and not enough intentional planning and strategizing is on church agendas to reverse a dire circumstance. For example, current enrollments in seminaries and Bible colleges will just not produce enough trained personnel to support the church plants necessary to bring a church to every unreached African village in this generation.
We recognize that there are numerous initiatives that seek to continue this Kingdom work, and that the Village Church Planting program is but one of the many projects that God has ordained to address the needs of His Kingdom in this crucial hour of history. African churches are increasingly becoming mission minded. God has also used the African diaspora to raise many missionary pastors to nations both inside and outside of Africa. God is preparing His harvest in North Africa by speaking through dreams and visions.
The overarching aim of the Into Africa Project is for Christ-breathed transformation to take place in the life of both the individual and the society. The outreaches of the Into Africa Project are focused by design on the peculiar needs of African villagers at this juncture of Kingdom history. The Village Church Planting project at the heart of the work is a tailored response by OMS Africa to the particular needs of Africa at the outset of the 21st century, and is not meant to be a universal all-encompassing model of church planting.

The Great Commission
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded in you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20, NIV)
