Personal Information
Dave and Ann Dedrick joined the One Mission Society team in March of 2005 as second-career missionaries, having left successful secular careers. Dave & Ann have been married for over 30 years, accepting Christ shortly after they were married. They have always been active in their local churches serving as teachers and lay-leaders. When their youngest daughter prepared to “leave the nest” for college, they prayed a simple prayer where they praised God for his blessing their lives and family and offered all that they had to God, no strings attached. The answer they both heard was “Mozambique.” That led to a time of exploration about the country and people of Mozambique. Long time supporters of One Mission Society missionaries, they discovered that OMS had a field in Mozambique and after their first visit with an OMS prayer team in October of 2004, they applied with OMS, never looking back.
Dave and Ann have four daughters residing in the United States. Krista (husband Matt) Sepeilli, Sarah (husband David) Henderson, Lynsey, and Allison.

Educational Background
Ann and Dave are both graduates of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville Campus. Both have liberal arts degrees and Ann has an additional Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Work Background
Dave worked in the nuclear industry from 1980 until joining with OMS in 2006. During this time they were transferred to numerous locations, ending up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ann’s first job was being a mom, working part-time in nursing, specializing in Public Health Nursing, Labor and Delivery, and women and children.

Current Responsibilities
Dave & Ann oversee both the Village Church Planting (VCP) program and the Christian Micro-Enterprise Development program in Mozambique. In addition, they work with denomination leaders of the young Evangelical Church of the Living Word denomination. Included in their passion is a desire to work with the many community health issues in the churches and it was their joy to coordinate two new deep-water wells for two VCP program churches this past year. (See photo above with training center in background.) Ann regularly assists the churches with health related teachings and support. It has been their joy to see this new denomination grow under Mozambican leadership from approximately 20 churches in 2004 to over 100 churches at the present time through the VCP program.
A cornerstone to the Mozambique work is the Maputo Biblical and Theological Seminary in Maputo (see photo at right). This 4-story structure, designed for 160 students, was made possible by a church in the United States tithing their building fund. Now completed, one class is in progress but the Mozambique field is in need of a Director to oversee this exciting new program. Pray with the Dedricks that God would raise up a Director for this seminary that will train leaders for the future.
